Synapse Brain Trust Explanation
The members of the Synapse Brain Trust are the core participants in Synapse Think Tanks and Synapse Connexion events and programs. To be eligible, one must be an influencer, a thought leader or a creative leader. This leadership can be expressed though one’s output – as an artist, performer or writer, or by starting a business and/or leading an organization
Brain Trust members are either in the Advisory Council or serve as Advisers-at-Large.. While Council members attend monthly meetings, Advisers-at-Large are under no obligation to attend meetings or events.
All Brain Trust members must agree to four things:
- We will use your name and business on our materials (to impress sponsors!). We will not circulate your contact information unless you request it.
- We will pick your brain to find new influencers/creative leaders for the Brain Trust,
- We will pick your brain to get feedback on events and operations, and ideas for new events.
- We will pick the brains of all advisers to get suggestions for possible sponsors. (Only with sponsors can we offer free events and free memberships.)
In return, Brain Trust members can pick Steve LeBeau’s brain on any topic, but especially media relations and public relations.
A key function of Brain Trust members is to provide ideas, perspectives and opinions through our Think Tanks about ways to improve our region. We will disseminate this content via our website, podcasts, videos and programs.
Also, at events Brain Trust members may volunteer to serve as hosts to help welcome newcomers and connect people with others. It is not mandatory for members to attend any particular event.
They will be invited to all Synapse events as they develop: Parties, dinners, forums, programs, Think Tank nights, happy hours, coffees, pot lucks, picnics, podcasts and other programs.
